Friends of the Library The official auxiliary of the Library. Friends help raise money through the sale of the library's surplus books, bake sales, holiday wreaths, and more. Friends are a chartered, integral part of our Library. Friends need the physical help and presence of new members. Please consider joining today!

Books, books on cd, magazines, VHS and DVDs
for the whole family. With over 25,000 items in the collection, you are sure to find something of interest. The library collection is searchable through the online catalog so you can find what you need quickly and easily.

Story Time

is held Fridays from 11 am - 12 noon. We teach social skills, listening comprehension and the foundations of reading. 

Discovery Packs

"Packed" and ready to go makes it fun and easy for families to check out reading and learning materials. Activity packs include a storybook and read-along audio tape or cd.

Childrens room in library Children's Room

The Library has a large collection of storybooks, videos and learning activities for kids of all ages. Each summer the Library sponsors a Summer Reading program.

Used Book Store
provided through the time and effort of Friends, volunteers, and the generous donations of patrons. Open since March 2003,  all proceeds from sales benefit the Library.

Watsontown Health and Rehab, Upper Northumberland Senior Action Center, & Warrior Run Manor Apartments
Books, large-print books, books on tape and videos are available at all locations from a library cart. Books are rotated by library staff and volunteers.

Meeting Space
The Library's meeting room is available for community activities and for literacy tutoring. Please check with Library staff for details on the policy of booking the meeting space.

Access Pennsylvania
Patrons may use their MH library card with the ACCESS Pennsylvania sticker at other participating libraries in Pennsylvania. Please note each library has its own policy regarding non-residents library cards.  Some libraries require an annual fee.  Montgomery House Library charges an annual non-resident fee of $15 per card.

A self-service photocopier is available at a cost of $.25 for a black & white regular letter size page. Color copies are $.50 per letter size page.

InterLibrary Loan
Books not in our collection may be obtained through interlibrary loan.

Reserved Books
Books not available immediately may be placed on Reserve. The patron's name will be placed on a waiting list to be called when the book is available.

Fax Service
Outgoing and incoming fax service: $1.00 per page.
